BIFURCATION ANGIOPLASTY

I have developed a new technique BALLOON OCLUSSION SIDE BRANCH STENTING ( BOSS ) for precise deployment of the side branch stent in bifurcation angioplasty in a two stent strategy. The presentation on the was made at the annual EUROPEAN BIFURCATION CLUB MEETING in Porto 2018. I am in the process publishing the feasibility and the initial experience of various operators with this technique

BIFURCATION CLUB OF INDIA

I am the Founder and Managing trustee of bifurcation club of india educational trust. The trust is an educational body with the basic aim to promote good practices among interventional cardiologists especially when handling complex patient subsets with bifurcation lesions.

The aim of the bifurcation club is to teach the right way to perform complex procedures like bifurcation angioplasty including various techniques of bifurcation angioplasty.

The first meeting of the Bifurcation Club Of India was held at Taj Santacruz on the 2nd and 3rd of July 2016 more than 250 interventionists were invited from all over the country. The meeting was attended by Renowned cardiologists from Europe Drs Goran Stankovic , Yves Louvard and R J Van Guens as Faculty.

Eminent Cardiologists from India Drs M J Gandhi , A B Mehta , Ashok Sheth also attended the meeting. The meeting was a huge success and all the young interventionists gained from the experience of the esteemed faculty members.

The second meeting of the Bifurcation club of India was held on 23rd, 24th and 25th of June 2017 .Meeting was by European Bifurcation Club Faculty Drs Thierry Leferve, Remo Albiero, Yannis Chatzisis and Miroslav Ferenc the meeting was a huge success as well and appreciated by the Dr Lefevre and others.

The third meeting was held on 7th & 8th July 2018 & fourth meeting on 6th & 7th July 2019 with robust attendance from the Indian Delegates & from Foreign Faculty of the European Bifurcation Club.

5th Virtual meeting was held on 2nd & 3rd October 2020.

The 6th meeting of the Bifurcation club of india was held on 3rd,4th and 5th of Septrmber 2021 at Mumbai, it was the first physical only meeting with a few virtual participants like Faculty from Europe.

The 7th meeting was held 3rd and 4th of July 2022 Drs Yves louvard, Remo Albiero and Yoshinobu Onuma attended the meeting as EBC faculty more than 200 delegates were in attendance of the meeting.
